I was born in 1970 in Missouri as a Preacher’s Kid. I grew up with a bit of Jonah syndrome, running away from ministry as fast as I could. I was recruited to play basketball at a small Mid-western Christian college in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma–where basketball became secondary, and God’s plan for my life began to unfold. I began my ministry in California as an Associate and Youth Pastor in Exeter, California. In 1998, I was called to return to Kentucky to assist a small growing church where my father was the Pastor. They needed someone to administrate, organize, and lead a new phase of growth. I served as Associate Pastor in Paducah, Kentucky working with my father and small staff building a vision for a wonderful church family. During this time, I also taught adjunct Ministry and Bible classes for my Alma Mater, Mid-America Christian University, after receiving my first master’s degree (M.A.R.) from Liberty University in 1999. I also began to work part-time in the technology industry with a local business to better understand IT and the Internet. Unaware at the time, God was placing me in a situation that would sustain me financially and challenge me in new areas of growth in my life. Through the acquisition of this small technology company, I was placed in an upper management position in a large financial technology company. In 2010, I stepped away from full-time vocational ministry for the first time in my life. I pursued a second master’s degree (MBA) during this time, believing that my path was leading toward a larger role in corporate management and business. I also began to focus my ministry time into our regional Fellowship of Christian Athletes ministry as a Board of Directors member, Character coach, team chaplain, and frequent speaker for various events. Through all of this, God did not let me become comfortable with the corporate business life. Deep inside, I felt a calling for renewed ministry and the transformation of lives for Jesus. In 2024, I began a new phase and joined a non-profit organization called Water4. I spent a year learning a ton about Africa and a mission to bring solutions to so many hurting people over there. In 2026, I began my own consulting firm and went to work for a small start-up company in the Capital and real-estate investment sector. I am always excited for this next phase in my life where God desires to use my gifts and passion for His Glory. As far as my hobbies or interests I am passionate about a couple of unique things. First, I am an SSI certified SCUBA Dive Master/Dive Guide, and I am most at peace 60-90 feet deep in the blue water of the Caribbean—especially if there are Sharks or Rays with me! Second, I grew up fairly poor and my only memorable toy I had was a frogman GI Joe that my mom bought at a yard sale. A few years ago, I reconnected with my childhood and began collecting vintage Hasbro GI Joes (made from 1964-1975). Ask to see pictures, or better yet, drop by the home office – I love to give tours of my Joe mini-museum. My Wife Rachel and I have been married 34 years. We relocated from Kentucky to Oklahoma City four years ago and now reside in NE Oklahoma City. I have two wonderful children–Breanna (Deputy Attorney General, Attorney General’s Office, Oklahoma City, OK), and Braden (History Teacher, Football Coach at Oklahoma Christian Schools, Edmond, OK). In late 2025, a whole new passion came into my life with the birth of my first granddaughter. Eloise has grabbed my heart and being a grandpa (Big G) may be the most honorable position I have ever held. There is much more to the story, and I love to share it. I am a storyteller by nature, and I am passionate about my faith and the faith journey I have been on so far. The bottom line is God has brought me through an amazing life journey where “Rubber meets the Road” faith has sustained me and continued to shape me for wherever God places me and my family. I am a Traveler who tries his best to choose the narrow road that leads to life eternal.
